The 15th edition of Asia Cup Cricket tournament is set to play.


As 6 teams are complete to battle for 2022 Asia Cup in United Arab Emirates.


It will played as T20 International during August and September 2022.


Originally, scheduled to be held in September 2020, the tournament was postponed in July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic


It was then rescheduled to take place in Sri Lanka in June 2021, before being postponed to again.


Pakistan were scheduled to host the tournament after retaining the rights to host the 2022 edition


However, in October 2021, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced that Sri Lanka would host the tournament in 2022,with Pakistan hosting the 2023 edition.


On 21 July 2022, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) informed the ACC that they would not be in a position to host the tournament due to the economic and political crisis in the country


On 27 July 2022, the ACC confirmed that the tournament would be played in the United Arab Emirates, with Sri Lanka Cricket serving as the tournament's hosts.


The fixtures for the tournament was announced on 2 August 2022.

Binura Fernando and Kasun Rajitha were ruled out due to injury shortly after being named into the squad and were replaced by Asitha Fernando and Pramod Madushan respectively.


Match Schedule and Fixture:


The 2022 Asia Cup Matches will played as T20 International on August and September 2022.


Matches will be played as a group matches , where India , Pakistan and Hongkong will play on Group A . While , Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be on Group B.


For Group A matches , India and Pakistan will be on The fixtures for the tournament was announced on the 1st match , it will be held on August 28, 2022.


The 2nd match for Group A will be a battle between India and Hongkong and it will be held on August 31, 2022.


The 3rd and last match in Group will be on Pakistan against Hongkong and it will be held on September 2, 2022.


On the other hand, Group B also play 3 matches.


The 1st match is a battle between Afghanistan against Sri Lanka that will be held on August 27, 2022.


The 2nd match will be a battled between Afghanistan and Bangladesh that will be held on August 30, 2022.


The last match for Group B will be battle between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and it will be held on September 1, 2022.


The top 2 in the Group stage will advance to play the Super 4 that will be play on September 3- 9 2022.


And the top 2 teams who will win the Super 4 match will advance to play for the finals on September 11, 2022 and battle to win the 2022 Asia Cup Title.
