The 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is about to start, As the 2014 Champions Sri Lanka men's national cricket team will lock the horn battling Namibia national cricket team on the 1st match of the tournament on Sunday , October 16, 2022 at Geelong’s Simond Stadium.


The lions enter the tournament on the back of a historic 2022 Asia Cup in UAE last month, wherein they defeated India once and Pakistan twice including the final to assure their 6th title.


While on the other hand, Namibia national cricket team will be keen to repeate or made even better showing their maiden participation at the marquee event in the UAE last year.


The Eagles Team Captain Gerhard Erasmus together with his men had made it to the Super 12s with wins over Netherlands and Ireland and defeated Scotland to finish 5th in their Group.


The Eagles also defeated Zimbabwe by 3-2 in the 5 match series earlier this year.
