Caribbean Premier League 2022 is now in its Eliminator round 1, Saint Lucia Kings take on a head-to-head match against Jamaica Tallawahs. It was a good day for St Lucia Kings, finishing third in the table. Their winning percentage was four out of 10 matches, while their points total was nine. Aside from Jamaica Tallawahs, the Jamaica Tallawahs won four of their 10 games to qualify for the knockout rounds and finish fourth with nine points. Both teams will now face each other in the Eliminator, where the losing side will be eliminated from the tournament and the winner will advance to Qualifier 2.

Jamaica Tallawahs wins by 33 runs in Eliminator 1 of Caribbean Premier League 2022. The captain of Tallawahs celebrates a victory from the jaws of defeat after his team steals a victory from its opponents. Having won the toss, the Kings had the upper hand and put their opponents under pressure throughout the game. In other words, this contest would have ended much earlier but for Mohammad Nabi's cameo at the end of Jamaica's innings. After gathering all the momentum at the backend of the first innings, the Tallawahs put themselves in a strong position to defend their total. After the Kings made a strong start, the side responded strongly with all their might. In the first round of the trial, Amir dismissed Charles before Powell strove to spin the Kings into a tangle of webs. It was Wasim and Fabian Allen who kept chipping away at regular intervals that had the opponents tangled up, as Green was efficient as usual. There were only two other batters in the Kings lineup who got to double digits besides Faf du Plessis. It was impossible to keep Mohammad Nabi out of the action when the left-arm spinners were running riot in the middle. It was a career-best performance for the Afghanistan captain who scored an unbeaten 31 and took three wickets to win the match for his country. At the end, his knock proved to be the difference between the two teams. As they stumbled from 61-4 to being bundled out for 115, the Kings had become a bit of a procession by the end. There will be a bit of reflection on the part of the captains.
