Hardik Pandya an all rounder Indian international cricketer who bats right handed and bowls right arm fast medium , plays for Baroda for domestic cricket , team captain of Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League and was called to made a debut in International Cricket Sport for India’s limited- overs tour for Asia Cup 2016.


Domestic Career


Hardik Pandya has been playing for Baroda Cricket Team since 2013 who played a vital role winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2013-14 season.

In 2016, Pandya slammed eight sixes during his innings unbeaten 86 to win over Vidarbha Cricket Team with six-wicket win in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.


Indian Premier League (IPL) Career


Year 2015, Pandya made a debut in Mumbai Indians . He played 66 IPL matches with 1068 runs with average of 28.86 and has a strike rate of 154.78 . He also scored 3 fifties with the highest score of 91 runs and has taken 42 wickets with the average of 31.26 and economy of 9.06.


Year 2022 , Pandya was released by Mumbai Indians and got drafted by the Gujarat Titans a new franchise as the team captain


International Career:


T20Is


At the age of 27 , Hardik Pandya made his Twenty20 International debut for India on January 2016 against Australia.


In Asia Cup 2016 , he smashed an 18 ball 31 against Bangladesh and picked up the wicket to secure the win and on the next match he played against Pakistan , where he bowled his best figure of 3 for 8 which is restricted Pakistan to 83.


In the same year 2016, Pandya also became a part of 2016 World Twenty20 against Bangladesh, he took two crucial wickets in the last three ball of the match and got there win over Bangladesh.


His career best bowling figures of 4 for 38 was achieved in the 3ed and final Twenty20 International against England on year 2018, he got 33 not out in 14 balls hitting the winning runs with six off Jordan. Pandya became the first Indian to take 4 wickets and score 30 runs in T20 in the same match.


In 2021, Pandya was named in India’s squad for 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup but in spite of his good scores Pandya failed to make an impact. He scored only 11 against Pakistan which led to India to loss by 10 wicket , his consecutive innings of 23 also did not help as they played against New Zealand that may cause to India to be crashed out for the World Cup. He only bowled 2 overs without picking any wickets and giving away 17 runs. His lack of runs and his inability to contribute with the ball led to his dropping by the squad for T20I series.


ODI Career


Hardik Pandya made his debut for One Day International(ODI) year 2016 . Pandya became the fourth Indian to be named player of the match on ODI debut against New Zealand , his first ODI innings as a batsman as he scored 36 runs from 32 balls. In the group stages of ICC Champions Trophy, he hit three consecutive sixes off Imad Wasim in the same over before rain stopped play


On June 2017, Pandya struck a 43 ball 76 in a losing cause after coming in with India at 54/5 following a batting order collapse for Champions Trophy final match.


In 2019 of April , he was named in India’s Test squad for 2019 Cricket World Cup


On the same year - 2019 of June , Pandya played his 50th ODI match against West Indies.


Test Career


Year 2016, Pandya was included in India’s Test squad for their home series against England but eventually left out after he injured himself while training in the nets.


2017 of July, he was named in the squad that toured Sri Lanka and played his first Test in Galle international Stadium. On his 3rd and final Test match he scored his maiden Test Century and set the record for becoming the first Indian batsman to score a Test Century . And also , he set the record for scoring the most runs in a single over of a Test inning with a score of 26 runs for India and made his first century in international cricket.
