The game has been one of the most exciting we have ever seen, and it hasn't looked like the Stars had a chance until that last over, but Sutherland believed she could do it, and she hit three monumental maximums to ensure the Stars' victory. By taking down the most dangerous bowler of Renegades, she put enormous pressure on her. It's unbelievable how Sutherland was able to win it off the last delivery when the batting side needed 22 off the last over. She went over the line single-handedly and her team's hopes of sneaking into the playoffs this season were kept alive.
Upon the end of five overs, the Stars found themselves 22-1 and way behind when the powerplay ended. The Renegades kept squeezing in on the Stars and never allowed them to gain the upper hand. However, the power surge turned things around, as Sutherland clobbered Hayward for a whopping 22 runs, and the Renegades never looked back. Despite losing partners at the other end, Sutherland never lost hope. It was a brilliant performance from the Renegades with the ball. Sarah Coyte delivered pivotal blows to Stars to re-establish their position, and Hayley Matthews also took two important wickets. The game ended with a bang, though, after Annabel Sutherland unleashed a masterclass hitting performance in the final over, and it all went down the drain.
