The 16th season of the Indian Premier League is anticipated to begin by the end of March 2023.


The BCCI was unable to host the event in its customary "Home and Away" format during the COVID-19 epidemic. But after the IPL 2022 season, the BCCI certifies that the IPL 2023 will be held in the traditional Home and Away format.

2023 Indian Premier League Auction Rules:


IPL 2023 Transfer: Because the BCCI has decided to hold the IPL 2023 micro auction, franchises have an advantage over those that participated in the IPL 2022 mega auction in that they can keep the majority of their players.


No franchise will be permitted to spend more money on a player than they have available.


75% or more of each team's total funding must be spent.


Franchisees won't have access to the Right to Match (RTM) card option.


The number of players in each team should not exceed 25 while each squad should have a minimum of 18 players.


There can be a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 25 Indian players per franchise. Similar to this, there is no upper limit on the number of international players each team can have on their


IPL 2023 Auction Purse Value


The BCCI confirms that all teams' purse values have increased by 5 crores, bringing the total for each team's purse to INR 95 crores.


They must spend at least 75% of the total amount of their purse during the auction.


As the 2023 IPL Auction is near to start , teams are starting to strengthen their squads for the upcoming tournament.
